stubborn, rash, easily angered, prideful
Husband of Goody Proctor
Lover of Goody Proctor, Abigail, and justice
Feels outrage against Abigail, Parris, and unjust treatment
Needs patience, less pride, and a backup plan
Gives his life to help end the false accusations
Fears death, having his name against him, being held responsible for everyone's death
Would like to see the false accusations end, and Abigail pay for her crimes

Hangman's noose
I chose the hangman's noose as my item because in this play many are hanged for crimes they did not commit, because of one girl who was afraid of punishment and later saw an opportunity to get exactly what she wanted and exploited it.  The noose is my symbol for those who lost their lives in the Crucible and never backed down from what was right, even when it costed them their lives.
